David J. Kovach, attorney at Licata & Toerek, is one of only four attorneys in Ohio who are certified by the Ohio State Bar Association’s Specialty Board as a specialist in both employment/labor and workers’ compensation law. A veteran trial and appellate attorney of 30 years, Mr. Kovach graduated from Cleveland State University and the Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and the Supreme Court of Ohio, and litigated in Florida and Pennsylvania as well as Ohio.

A former Assistant Ohio Attorney General, Mr. Kovach has lectured in Legal Writing, Oral Advocacy, and Trial Advocacy at the Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He is a member of the American and Ohio Bar Associations. A member of the Ohio Bar Association’s Employment Law and Litigation Sections, Mr. Kovach formerly served on the Akron Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law and Workers’ Compensation Law Committees, as well as the Investigative Subcommittee of the Akron Bar Association’s Grievance Committee.
